Amulet Necklaces These are my perennial passion, and my signature work over the years. Most of these necklaces feature amulets from India with traditional Hindu goddesses and gods. In Hindu art, you can see the importance of amulets, because even the deities (painted in blue) are depicted wearing amulets themselves. All of these are silver, even if the lighting makes them look a bit golden. Each has its own personality and is one-of-a-kind, which I really love about them. A small "pedigree paper" is included with each one, so that you will know where your piece is from, what it means, and what gemstones it is paired with. You'll be a woman "in the know."

This vintage amulet from India depicts "Seven Mothers and a Guardian." It is designed to protect the wearer. Imagine how protected you would be with seven mothers plus a "bonus" guardian! Notice how the last figure is not wearing a skirt. Beautiful detail in this piece. It is paired with 146 carats of kyanite which has such a lovely blue shade - perfect with denim, and so flattering against the skin. 17.75" long. (#N069) $275

Aquamarine Floral Mandala Necklace
This is such a pretty color - just dreamy. Faceted aquamarine (194 carats) and silver accents combine with a domed pendant with decorative quadrifoil elements. I've heard that this floral represents family. Matching earrings are shown below. 18" long (#N037) $285

Blue Lace Agate & Iolite Narasimha
This rare and unusual amulet depicts Narasimha, an incarnation of Vishnu who protects the faithful from tyranny. He has the head of a lion and the body of a man, and there is a fascinating story behind that. In between the angularly cut agates are smaller iolites to further bring out the purplish blue hue. 17" long. (#N028) $295

Yellow & Green Tourmaline Durga - SOLD
Cabochon tourmaline beads of yellow and green tourmaline are paired with this antique amulet of Durga. She is a goddess who rides a lion and banishes fear. Her many arms each wield a weapon and she is also the slayer of the Buffalo Demon. I like to think of her as the original "Girl Power." The details have become obscured over time, but you can just make out that the lion is facing to the right, and his tail is off to the left. Matching bracelet and earrings are available (Send me an email first so I can combine shipping). 20.25" long. (#N045, 12/3) $175
